360 History

The city of Madrid decided to celebrate its history in an incredible way, by infusing the center of the city’s civic life, Plaza Mayor, with magic by painting its walls with that history, giving thousands of viewers an unforgettable 360 experience!

If you’d like to visit the plaza but can’t make it to Madrid, check out this great 360 tour.

The Making of Wonder

We often feature incredible projection-mapped installations and performances, but it’s not often that we get a chance to peek behind the curtain so we can see how a project comes together. The team at Freelusion put together a short promotional documentary to show how they created “Around the World in 80 Days” for the German cruise like TUI Cruises.

If this intrigues you, then you should definitely check out Freelusion’s masterful work for the show America’s Got Talent. Enjoy!

Our Future Realities

If you’ve followed us for a while, you know how much we enjoy talking about augmented reality (AR) technology that currently exists, but it’s also pretty exciting to explore what is being developed for the future.

Tech writer Alice Bonasio took a deep dive into the future of mixed reality in a recent blog and it got us pretty excited!

Bonasio believes that Microsoft’s HoloLens 2 is leading the way when it comes to AR. It’s got a great field of view, is comfortable (it’s hard to sink into a new reality when you’re uncomfortable), and with improved eye-tracking, provides a a promising glance into future applications, from the medical field to gaming.
