“Otherworld,” an immersive art experience based in Columbus, Ohio hasn’t even opened yet but it’s already captured our attention! The space, created by a team of artists combining large scale art, interactive technology, projection mapping, game design, and escape room concepts, promises to push the boundaries of interactive art and give us an amazing taste of what is possible.
Using live motion capture and a creative mix of other technologies, they are working on creating an adventure that will pull you into multiple strange and beautiful worlds. We can only imagine what will happen when theme parks with large budgets start seriously exploring what they can create with this kind of technology. We’re certainly excited to see how this kind of experimentation will evolve as artists continue building pocket universes in which we can lose ourselves.
